The Instinctive Cook is Thyme’s long-standing flagship class, a celebration of seasonality and confident, intuitive cooking.
The class begins with a walk to the kitchen gardens, where you will harvest whatever is at its very best. Back in the Cookery School, you will prepare a main course and a dessert, along with a fresh fruit cordial to enjoy with a glass of English champagne. Menus change with the seasons, but recipes might include things like chard and ricotta ravioli with crispy sage butter; raspberry meringue roulade, and cherry and rose cordial.
Throughout the class, we explore the fundamentals of flavour, helping you to understand how ingredients work together so you can move beyond the recipes and cook instinctively. Along the way, you’ll develop a repertoire of practical skills and build the confidence to be creative in your own kitchen.
Inclusions: Expert guidance from our chef teacher. All ingredients and equipment (including an English champagne cocktail). Class recipes to take away.
Please Note: Please arrive 10 minutes before the class is due to start. Recipes will change from class to class and are subject to seasonal availability. Baa Bar drinks are chargeable in addition to the class. Cookery classes are suitable for ages 12+.
