Caryn Hibbert

Caryn Hibbert began her career in medicine, training as an obstetrician and gynaecologist. In 2002, seeking a slower pace of life and space to raise her family, she moved to Southrop Manor in the Cotswolds. There, alongside her father, she began restoring a collection of derelict farm buildings, an endeavour that quietly sowed the seeds of Thyme. Drawing on her love of design, gardening, food and people, Caryn shaped Thyme into a living, breathing expression of seasonal living.

In 2018, she and her daughter Milly launched Bertioli by Thyme, a botanical brand born from their shared vision to bring the wild inside, and to extend Thyme’s ethos beyond its walls.

Today, Caryn continues to guide the creative direction of both Thyme and Bertioli with curiosity, care and a belief in the quiet power of things done slowly, and well.

Deborah Brett and dbCeramic

dbCeramic, founded in 2022 by Deborah Brett, is a distinctive tableware brand where British craftsmanship meets an artist’s instinct for pattern, form and quietly expressive design. Conceived in her London home studio and produced in Stoke-on-Trent, the historic heart of English ceramics, each piece reflects a seamless dialogue between handcraft and heritage. After a 25-year career as a leading fashion editor, Deborah retrained as a ceramicist, bringing a refined editorial eye to interiors. Each design begins by hand before being cast and hand-finished by a fifth-generation, family-run factory, resulting in porcelain that is both sculptural and functional.

At the heart of dbCeramic is Deborah’s signature bubble glaze technique, developed over three years, where coloured glaze is blown across the porcelain to create soft, organic, painterly patterns. A carefully curated palette unites ceramics, linens and woven table pieces into a cohesive visual language. In 2026, the brand expanded with dbCeramic Studio—small-batch, hand-thrown pieces made in her home studio—and dbCeramic Bespoke, a sculptural, made-to-commission collection exploring the interplay between glaze and clay.
