Join us to celebrate the launch of Atmosfloric: Flower Colour in Home and Garden, the much-anticipated new book by designer Sean A. Pritchard.
In gardens and cut-flower displays alike, many elements compete for attention - scent, scale and texture - yet colour remains the most powerful. Unlike the colours in our interiors, colour in the garden is fleeting and ever-changing, offering opportunity to experiment with shifting palettes throughout the seasons. In Atmosfloric, Sean explores this dynamic relationship through three mood-based chapters, sharing favourite flowers to grow, planting ideas and inspiring ways to showcase them. Alongside personal reflections on colour theory, the book is richly illustrated with Sean’s own photography, featuring celebrated gardens and interiors across England and France, including Charleston Farmhouse and Kettle’s Yard, and a number of iconic homes.
Following the talk, there will be time for an audience Q&A and a book signing.

Sean A Pritchard
Sean A Pritchard has a garden design studio based in London and Somerset. He came to his career in garden design with a background in fine art and brand strategy. Before setting up his design practice, Sean graduated with Distinction from the Garden Design School in Bristol. Sean has designed show gardens at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival and, in 2025, he designed The ODD Pavilion at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He divides his time between London and Somerset – where he lives in a 300-year-old farm labourer’s cottage on the Mendip Hills, overlooking the Somerset Levels. He applies much of his garden design philosophy to the decoration of the cottage, which he shares on his popular Instagram account @sean_anthony_pritchard Sean’s first book Outside In: A Year of Growing and Displaying was published in April 2024
Atmosfloric
Following the success of Outside In, comes the much-anticipated second book from designer Sean A. Pritchard, in which he explores how to grow flowers for colour and bring them indoors for visual impact and atmosphere. In a garden or cut-flower display, there are multiple factors to observe, from scent and scale to texture, yet nothing grabs our attention more than colour. Unlike the colours in our interiors, colour in the garden is fleeting and fickle, and with that comes an exciting opportunity to experiment with a changing performance month after month.
The book is divided into three mood-based chapters: Romantic, Energetic and Reflective. For each chapter, Sean reveals his favourite flowers to grow (with plant lists and inspirational planting plans) and shows them in a range of inspirational interiors. Sean also takes a personal look at colour theory and explores the relationship that gardeners and gardener-artists have had with colour through history.
With beautiful photography by Sean throughout, the book is packed with images from highly sought-after gardens and interiors in England and France, including the iconic Charleston farmhouse and Kettle’s Yard, plus the homes of Richard E Grant, Sam McKnight, Marin Motagut, Butter Wakefield, Isabel and Julian Bannerman and Anthony Watson of Atelier Vime.
