Annie Sloan, hosts a restorative day at Thyme, bringing together mindful creativity, hands on artistic instruction and the simple pleasure of making something by hand.
Mindfulness, creativity and sustainability form the foundation of Annie’s Chalk Paint philosophy. She will guide participants through the art of lampshade painting and restoration, using colour, texture and the physical process of making as a way to slow down, focus and reconnect with creativity.
Throughout the day, participants will explore techniques including distressing, waxing and blending, while taking time to experiment and enjoy the creative process. Set against the expansive surroundings of Thyme, the experience offers a chance to step away from the daily routines, be present in the moment and begin the year with a sense of calm, creativity and renewed energy.
The workshop runs from 10am - 4pm, a seasonal lunch of modern, British countryside fare will be taken as a group at the chef’s table in Thyme’s Ox Barn restaurant
Lampshades, paints and equipment are all provided.
Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price.
