Pull on your wellingtons and join us for a guided walk through the Thyme estate. Begin in the walled courtyard gardens of the Ox Barn, designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist Bunny Guinness, before continuing through the Orchard, where apples, pears, plums and medlars grow alongside sea buckthorn, crab apples and rosehips.
From there, walk across the fields to the Kitchen and Cutting Gardens to discover the flowers, herbs and seasonal produce grown across the estate. Along the way, pause at the Water Meadows - a peaceful wetland rich in biodiversity and home to swallows, cuckoos, reed warblers and all four native British owl species. After the walk, return to the Home Kitchen for a herbal tea.
The walk runs from 11am-12pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk begins. Lunch reservations have been made in the Ox Barn restaurant at 12.15pm.
All hotel residents are welcome to join the walk free of charge. Please email reservations@thyme.co.uk.
Inclusions: Guided walk with our chef teacher and gardeners. Herbal tea or infusion. Lunch in the Ox Barn - £30 towards your bill (guests may be seated on a communal table - if you have a seating preference, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you on the day).
Please Note: Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy boots or wellingtons (a selection is available from reception on request).
Cancellation Policy: Please note our happenings are non-refundable, however, if you are no longer able to attend, please let us know 72 hours prior to the event, and we can transfer your deposit to another schedule or to a voucher.
