Thyme - the two Michelin Key hotel and creative home of Bertioli by Thyme - invites guests behind the scenes to discover some of the very best of English country design and craftsmanship.
This winter marks an exciting new chapter at Thyme, with the unveiling of Oak, our new suite, the opening of the Secret Sauna Garden at Meadow Spa, and the launch of Primrose, a new Bertioli design within our Woodland Habitat collection.
During your stay, you are invited to a celebratory feasting dinner hosted by Thyme founder Caryn Hibbert, marking the launch of Primrose and the unveiling of Oak. Joined by her friend and renowned designer Sophie Conran, Caryn will share the creative journey behind the new suite, where Bertioli patterns and Sophie’s furniture come together through a shared love of nature, pattern and the English home.
Throughout the retreat, guests will also have the opportunity to sign up for a curated programme of design experiences, offering privileged access to private homes, studios and workshops. Meet leading designers, collectors and makers through founder-led experiences with Lorfords, Lorfords Contemporary and Brownrigg, alongside an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the Lewis & Wood mill.
Stay a little longer to embrace the slower rhythm of life at Thyme and discover the newly opened Secret Sauna Garden at Meadow Spa. Guests booking an additional night will receive a complimentary Meadow Spa treatment.
Two nights’ accommodation at Thyme on 21st January and 22nd January 2027, breakfast each morning, Friday evening’s celebratory feasting dinner and transfers to all scheduled excursions.
Stay on Saturday night and enjoy a complimentary treatment at Meadow Spa, with time to discover the new Secret Sauna Garden and enjoy Thyme at a slower pace.
For single occupancy rooms, one 30-minute treatment is included.
For double occupancy rooms, two 30-minute treatments are included

An introduction to the world of Bertioli by Thyme at Southrop Manor, Caryn Hibbert’s private home and the creative heart of the brand. Explore how Bertioli fabrics, wallpapers and furnishings are brought together within a lived-in English country house, before visiting the studio for a behind-the-scenes introduction to the inspiration, design and development of the collections.
Brownrigg - Antiques, Collecting & the Art of the Interior

Meet David and Jorge Gibson of Brownrigg for a private introduction to their world of antiques and decorative objects. Hear about their approach to sourcing and collecting, before exploring Brownrigg’s ever-changing collection and discovering how pieces with history and character find their place within contemporary interiors.
The Maker’s Workshop - Behind the Scenes at Lorfords Contemporary

Step inside the Lorfords Contemporary workshops to discover how traditional British craftsmanship is used to create contemporary furniture. A private workshop tour is followed by demonstrations from senior upholsterers, offering insight into traditional upholstery techniques, the use of natural materials and the craftsmanship behind the Lorfords Contemporary collection.
The Collector's Eye - A Private Morning at Lorford's Hangers

For one morning, the Lorfords Hangars will open exclusively for our guests. Personally hosted by Toby Lorford, The Collector’s Eye offers rare access to one of Europe’s most remarkable collections of decorative antiques, exploring provenance, craftsmanship and restoration, while revealing the instinct and expertise behind sourcing exceptional pieces and incorporating historic objects into contemporary interiors.
Lewis & Wood Mill Tour – Craft and Sustainability with an Iconic British Brand

A private behind-the-scenes tour of Lewis & Wood’s Gloucestershire mill, exploring the craftsmanship behind its distinctive fabrics and wallpapers. Discover the processes and specialist skills behind the collections, with a particular focus on British manufacturing, responsible production and sustainability.
Salthorp House Private House Tour

A rare opportunity to step inside Sophie Conran’s private country home and garden. Over refreshments and a personally guided tour, Sophie will share the thinking behind Salthrop House and her approach to interiors, collecting, colour and comfortable country living.
