MANAGER - Thyme is undergoing a new phase of development and as such we are looking for an experienced Manager to take over the running of The Swan at Southrop, our much loved and locally renowned pub in Southrop. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Duty Manager or Restaurant Manager who is looking for the next step in their career.  Good experience of pub operations, excellent people-management skills with a diligent sense of ownership and a keen interest in local, seasonal food and drink is essential. The role is very hands on and you will be one of the faces of the business and candidates must enjoy being a host to guests. ASSISTANT MANAGER - Thyme is undergoing a new phase of development and we are now looking for an Assistant Manager for our pub, The Swan at Southrop.  This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Restaurant Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager who is looking for more responsibility and to develop their management skills.  We are looking for applicants with good experience of pub operations and people-management, plus a keen interest in local, seasonal food and drink. The role is very hands on and provides support for the Manager as well as other operations at Thyme. EVENTS OPERATIONS MANAGER (MATERNITY COVER) This role is focused on driving corporate and high end leisure event sales. Working closely with the Events Sales Manager, you will oversee the management of corporate meetings, private dinners, weddings, corporate launches and all other events from an initial enquiry through to overseeing the event on the day. This is a very hands on role, with the expectation of your presence at the events, ensuring smooth running, consistent, professional brand delivery and a helpful, friendly service. You will need to work some evenings and weekends to fulfil this role. Along with the Events Sales Manager, you will be the point of contact from inception to delivery. Attention to detail, excellent product knowledge, developing team relationships and the ability to work independently are all essential for this role. ASSISTANT HEAD HOUSEKEEPER - We have a beautiful collection of spaces at Thyme, from exquisite hotel bedrooms and charming country cottages to guest drawing rooms, an elegant medieval tithe barn & state of the art kitchens. We are looking for a person with at least 2 years housekeeping experience at supervisory or management level to work closely with Head of Housekeeping. This individual must have knowledge of health & safety regulations, have an exceptional eye for detail and be efficient in what is both an administrative and hands-on role. ASSISTANT HEAD GARDENER - Working with Thyme's Head Gardener this role has been newly created to meet the growing demands upon the garden as Thyme expands. With kitchen garden, formal gardens, wildflower watermeadows, orchards and wild spaces at Thyme, the ideal candidate will have a real passion for the sustainabie nature of gardening. RECEPTIONIST - Our 'front of house' are a flexible and bright team who engage in all areas of the business, we are looking for someone with a 'can-do' confident attitude who is happy to help in the office, join the waiting staff, pick flowers, shake a cocktail, support the events team or act as a guide to Thyme whenever necessary, in addition to all the reception duties you might expect.  We need an articulate well-spoken individual who is happy to work on a flexible rota.
